How entries are picked
An entry only goes up if it can survive four questions. This page sets out what those are, and what they deliberately do not cover.
The four questions
- Does the listing still resolve? The item is opened inside LitBuy first. Anything that no longer reaches a live product is dropped rather than parked.
- Is the price real? The CNY figure is read off the seller page on the day of the check. Nothing is carried forward from an earlier pass.
- Is the photograph of the product? Promotional banners, spreadsheet screenshots and collage graphics are rejected in favour of a photograph of the item itself.
- Is there anything worth saying? If an entry cannot produce a verdict that means something — because the listing gives too little to work with — it does not go up.
What is not assessed
No item is held, worn, weighed or tested. The factory, the material and the production batch are unknown to us, and no entry on this site should be read as a statement about origin or quality. The verdict is a judgement about whether the listing and the price band make sense together, and nothing more.
How often entries are re-opened
The catalogue is walked weekly. Categories where sellers rotate stock fastest get looked at more often than stable ones. Every product page prints the date the entry was last opened, so you can judge freshness yourself.
Reporting a problem
Dead link, moved price, or an entry that should not be listed at all: send it to [email protected] with the entry ID. Those reports are handled before anything else.
